After a year of online collaboration, the PROMOTE consortium reunited in person in Lisbon this May for a two-day partner meeting hosted by Egas Moniz School of Health & Science. The event was an important milestone in the project’s journey, offering space for reflection, dialogue, and joint planning for the next phase.
The meeting focused on key strategic areas of the project – including the development of a European ecosystem of correctional skills, the establishment of Centres of Vocational Excellence (CoVEs), and innovative approaches to learning, certification and sustainability. Partners also discussed ways to strengthen dissemination, stakeholder involvement, and cross-European cooperation.
Coming together in person reminded us of the power of collaboration and the importance of diverse perspectives in shaping impactful vocational education in the justice field. With shared goals and fresh momentum, the consortium now moves forward into the next stage of PROMOTE.
