Within the PromoteProject Centrul Pentru Promovarea Invatarii Permanente successfully organized the DACUM Workshop (Developing a Curriculum) in Timisoara-Romania, one month ago. The goal was to conduct a comprehensive analysis of the current situation and needs of the correctional sector and professionals working with sentenced persons, considering the diverse and complex contexts and challenges they face.
To ensure maximum representativeness and relevance, CPIP
identified specialists from the legal system, including the penitentiary and probation system, as well as local community representatives involved in the social reintegration of juvenile and young offenders.
The DACUM workshop featured two brainstorming sessions where participants analyzed the main characteristics, requirements, and challenges of their current professions, and shared their vision for the future. We also examined existing resources within correctional institutions and discussed the community’s role in supporting resocialization, involvement in educational activities, and integration into the labor market to prevent recidivism.
We truly appreciate the time and effort everyone invested in this workshop, and we are confident that the input will lead to meaningful advancements in our shared mission.
