The PROMOTE project’s DACUM workshops have been successfully conducted across several countries, bringing together professionals from the correctional sector to identify skills needs and shape future training programs.

Workshops have taken place in Denmark, Germany, Italy, Lithuania, Portugal, Romania, Spain and Turkey, providing valuable insights to shape training programs and career guidance for correctional staff, engaging participants from diverse areas of the justice and correctional systems. Through collaborative discussions and brainstorming sessions, these events analyzed the characteristics, challenges, and professional requirements of staff working with sentenced individuals.

The workshops aimed to map current work profiles and address the evolving needs of the sector by developing innovative learning materials and professional development programs. By involving representatives from legal systems, penitentiary and probation services, and community organizations, the PROMOTE project ensures a comprehensive approach to resocialization and skills enhancement.

We’re grateful for the commitment and expertise of all participants and look forward to sharing more outcomes and best practices from across the consortium!
